Sonnacchio Named Member of SUNY Delhi’s Architecture Club
Andrea Sonnacchio of West Monroe has been named a member of SUNY Delhi’s Architecture Club for the 2013-2014 academic year. Sonnacchio is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design and Building. The Architecture Club is one of over 50 recognized student organizations found on the SUNY Delhi campus.
Porky and Buddy Pet Health – free to good home isn’t always ‘free’
My next door neighbor came home with a new puppy a few weeks ago that she had gotten from a “free to good home” ad. I use the word “free” advisedly because a week after the puppy arrived he was at the veterinary hospital with parvo and almost didn’t make it. Now $2,300 later, he is home and I guess OK. But, should I be worried? My kids were playing with him and I have my own (fully vaccinated) dog.

Art Of Sandy Clift On Display at Oswego Library
With wonderful tracery and depth, the art of Sandy Clift is on display until April on the lowest level of the Oswego Public Library. Her unique work includes many fine details and expands in one’s mind the longer it is enjoyed. She recently exhibited at the River Walk Artists first National and International Juried Exhibition in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
Celebrating the 100th Day of School at APW
Students at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Elementary School have 100 reasons to celebrate. February 14 marked the 100th day of the 2013-14 school year. It was a day to celebrate the students’ hard work and academic achievements as well as enjoy some centennial-themed fun.
O’Loughlin Makes the Dean’s List at DeSales University
Therese C. O’Loughlin, a resident of Pulaski, was among more than 600 traditional day and adult evening students from DeSales University who made the fall 2013 Dean’s List.

Animal Fever in PreK at APW
Pre-kindergarten classes in the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District have been busy learning all about animals as part of the animal domain of the New York State Common Core curriculum. Engaging activities coordinated by classroom teacher Sherrie Everett’s have had students exploring several different animals and identifying characteristics and body parts that animals and humans have in common and also how humans and animals might differ.
APW Staff Unite to Raise Awareness about Heart Health
Faculty members in the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (APW) Central School District joined forces recently to show their support for National Heart Month and raise awareness about the hidden dangers of heart disease in women. Staff members wore the color red on the first Friday in February and collected a $410 donation for the American Heart Association.
