Lunch and Learn brings students, parents together for math lesson

The Lunch and Learn program, spearheaded by school/home liaison Ariana Suhr, with the assistance of elementary Academic Intervention Services teacher Kristine Kaufman, was designed to give parents an up-close glimpse at the curriculum. With the Common Core Learning Standards taking hold, Suhr noted that many parents have never seen the learning material as it is currently being taught.

As the Olympics kicked off on the international stage in Sochi, Russia, on Thursday, students at Fairley Elementary School held their own celebration. American flags, winter sports equipment and music welcomed fourth-graders into the school gymnasium, which was abuzz with patriotism and discussion about the winter Olympics.

‘Move To Include Wheelchair Basketball Takes the FJHS by Storm

Basketball fever is running rampant at the Fulton Junior High School, resulting in a widespread outbreak of kindness and compassion. What caused the fever? A “Move To Include” Basketball Game that was coordinated by the school’s Friends of Rachel (FOR) Club in cooperation with the school’s student council and a local non-profit organization known as Move Along, Inc.
