Kindergarten registration is rapidly approaching in the Oswego City School District. This year kindergarten registration for September 2014 will be from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. daily from February 10 through 14 in the school the child will be attending.
“Bundle of Bucks” Charity raffle ticket holders who purchased their tickets by February 14 will be entered in an “Early Bird” drawing when five – $100 prize winners will be selected in advance of the grand drawing raffle in May.

High school juniors who are looking to bolster their college resume by enrolling in a New Vision course their senior year can learn about the program during an information night Feb. 5. The event, for prospective New Vision students and their parents, aims to introduce students to the program and provide information ranging from the application process to the specific opportunities available.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, a division of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, offers a biweekly osteoporosis exercise regimen at more than 20 sites throughout Oswego County. The RSVP-sponsored classes are self-paced and ensure the program itself does not increase stress or cause pain.
The students at the Oswego Middle School competed for the opportunity to earn a position in this year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee regional. The top four finishers advancing to the regional competition are (left to right) Jack Dodds, Dain Jerred, Alyssa Lee and Andrew Caprin.
