Fairgrieve students earn PE awards

Nearly two dozen Fairgrieve Elementary School students were recognized with physical education awards during a Morning Express ceremony on Monday. The awards honored students who demonstrated respect, responsibility, safety and problem solving in physical education classes. Each student received a certificate honoring them for their success in meeting the behavioral expectations.

Civil War Author to Present Lecture at Oswego County Historical Society on November 10

The Oswego County Historical Society will host the final lecture of 2013 on November 10 at 1:30 p.m. at the Richardson-Bates House Museum at 135 E. Third St. The event is free and open to the public. Local author Dr. Natalie Woodall will present a program entitled “Those Fightin’ Adriance Boys,” which will highlight the lives of Oswego veterans William Adriance and his sons, Harry and Edward.

Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee recently presented a proclamation designating the month of October as 4-H Month in Oswego County.  At hand to receive the proclamation were 4-H members and “I Dare You” recipients Caleb Lacson and Annamarie Forestiere; and Linda Brosch, 4-H program educator.
