The Oswego High School and Middle School held a pep rally on Friday afternoon in anticipating of the Oswego-Fulton football game on Saturday afternoon. At the OHS event, teacher Josh DeLorenzo showed the results of his effort to brighten up the afternoon.

Participants in ARISE programs had the terrific opportunity to participate in a three-day golf clinic hosted by John Hayes and the Evergreen Hills Golf Course.Volunteer instructor, Tom Doran, worked with the participants to learn proper golf etiquette and form.

The public is invited to tour Oswego County’s first licensed assisted living program residence for adults and learn about the services and amenities to be offered.

Arlene Mahar of Oswego County Opportunities’ Residential Services was recently honored recently. She received a longevity award for 35 years of service to OCO and its consumers.

The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified home health care, long-term home health care, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.

More than 70 APW Rebel alumni live in the Carolinas and on August 17, 16 of them and their spouses or guests got together at Duckworth’s Grill and Taphouse in Huntersville, NC, to renew friendships and have fun! They even chartered a new branch of the APW alumni association: the APW Rebels of the Carolinas!

A new textbook from the prolific pen of SUNY Oswego sociology chair Timothy Delaney asks college students to apply 500 years of sociological theory to their own attitudes and actions in today’s world.

Parents of Special Children, Inc., recently had a wheelchair ramp built at their new office in Fulton. The non-profit agency, which is funded through the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and Family Support Services (FSS), moved to a larger suite in June to accommodate their growing programs.

The five-year agreement with Chung-Ang is structured similarly with one the college has with the same South Korean city’s Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, which sent 39 students to SUNY Oswego in January with the goal of completing their undergraduate degrees here in three years following a first year at HUFS.
