Fitzhugh Park Elementary School students received a visit from four PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Superheroes. The school year kicked off with an assembly to illustrate the importance of Positive Behavior in our Schools.

The Oswego AmeriCorps program is seeking applications for the 2013-2014 AmeriCorps program. AmeriCorps members serve with Oswego County schools and non-profits by mentoring, providing fitness and nutrition education, and managing volunteers. Applications are currently being accepted for 900-hour AmeriCorps positions that will start on Oct. 1.

The Arts Center submitted a grant application to the new Foundation with the challenge to be a “Catalyst for Change.” An application for new programming and equipment to support the programs was accepted and awarded in support of two educational programs ready to launch with the new school year.
The series offers a supportive environment where women come together to discover and build on their intrinsic strengths as leaders while expanding their “toolbox” to find balance in their personal and professional lives.
