The Oswego Rotary Club hosted Gregory Callen, founder of Move Along Inc. and executive director Jeff Wright at a recent meeting. Callen spoke about his spinal cord injury in 2005 and his desire to assist others in finding resources to enable them to gain confidence and strength.

The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on September 22. Serving will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will be macaroni and cheese, ham, vegetable and dessert. Donations are not expected but will be accepted.

SUNY Oswego’s 27th annual ALANA Student Leadership Conference will launch Sept. 21, with a multicultural extravaganza — the popular fashion show — before moving on to the Unity Peace Walk, alumni panels, workshops, a banquet and more.

Students on the Blue Team at the Stepping Stones Day Program at Oswego County BOCES enjoyed a fun-filled summer program and learned quite a bit along the way.

For the third year, UNIQUE 2013 premiered at the Everson Museum of Art. After the Everson, the exhibit will travel to many partnering organizations with the first stop at the Literacy Coalition of Oswego County’s “Dig into Reading” Literacy Fair.

Trained and nationally certified child passenger technicians will be on hand to help you install your child’s car seat in your vehicle for the safest ride possible.

Fulton City Democrat BBQ committee members are planning this year’s Frickin’ Chicken’s Pulled Pork BBQ dinner. It will be held on September 15, at the Bullhead Point on shore of Lake Neatahawanta along Route 3 West in Fulton from noon until 2 p.m.
