Members of the Auburn Community College Class of 1963 are planning to celebrate their 50th reunion the weekend of July 27-28 in Auburn. An informal event will be held on July 27 at the Sunset Restaurant, 93 North Division Street, Auburn.
Masonic Leaders from all over New York State assembled July 7 in Oswego for a full day of activities including a church service, the parade, a picnic at the Oswego Lodge, then the concerts at Breitbeck Park and the Oswego fireworks. Kathleen Allen and Samuel Tripp were elected as Oswego City School District Board of Education officers for the upcoming year. During the annual reorganizational meeting Allen became the new president of the board while Tripp will serve as the vice-president for the 2013-2014 year.
Test results show that the beach on Oneida Lake is safe for swimming, the Oswego County Health Department announced Wednesday. The beach was closed to swimming July 3 due to the presence of a blue-green algae bloom.
