A friend encouraged Sue to join her in taking a class in Precious Metal Clay a few years ago. PMC is sterling, gold or other precious metal that has been mixed with other substances to make it into a workable clay. Sue was immediately hooked and has been creating beautiful unique pieces of jewelry, many inspired by nature, ever since.

The RSVP-sponsored classes are self-paced and aim to ensure the program itself does not increase stress or cause pain. The program starts off gently and builds as strength increases. Sessions are meant to be fun, and participants get to know each other, learn and share information and focus on increasing confidence and independence.
The replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial was displayed over Memorial Day weekend at the New Haven Volunteer Fire Company. The event was sponsored by Hamlin-Weldon Post 1532 of the American Legion with support from several local businesses, organizations and individuals.

The following Cayuga Community College students, listed by home town and county, have been named to the Dean’s List for academic achievement in the Spring 2013 semester. A minimum grade point average of 3.5 out of a possible 4.0 is required for this distinction.
Thanks to the efforts of great volunteers and the support of several area businesses and human services agencies our first ever Family Day of Play event was a big success! Almost two hundred children and family members joined us at Camp Hollis for a day of fun and learning and to enjoy the opportunity to interact with each other, make new friends, and participate in a number of child and family friendly activities.
The students at Trinity Catholic School were recipients of a grant from Dynegy. The award is part of an employee directed grant program. Employee and Trinity parent, James Bevacqua, initiated the application process.
The dune fest educated students about the area including the dunes, animals and ecosystems and was put on through a combined effort through the New York Sea Grant, the State Department of Environmental Conservation, and New York’s State Park System.
Students at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton have reason to celebrate. For the fifth time in the history of the Oswego County Academic Youth (OCAY) League, the school clinched the title of overall champion. OCAY League was organized in 1997 with the idea that academics merit a standing comparable to athletics.
