Families who have a child with a mental health diagnosis are invited to attend a special Family Fun Day on June 26 from noon – 2 p.m. at Foster Park in Fulton. Hosted by Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Family Education and Partnerships and Family Support Services programs, the Family Fun Day offers families who have a child with a mental health diagnosis an afternoon of games and activities for the whole family.
One recent classroom experience was a visit by an occupational therapist that was coordinated by the program’s instructor to coincide with the students’ reading of Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper, a novel about a young girl that does not allow Cerebral Palsy to define her.

Students in the Hannibal Central School District will be released 15 minutes early on June 20 as a preparedness drill in compliance with the district’s Emergency Response Plan.

The CNY Arts Center of Fulton announces its next Author’s Spotlight, a monthly program that introduces local writers and their recently published works to the community. On June 19 at 7 p.m., author Lisa Buske will offer a presentation and reading from her book, Where’s Heidi?, One Sister’s Journey.

The City of Oswego and The Musicians Union of Oswego County are pleased to announce the schedule of free concerts for 2013. The 2013 Summer Sunset Concert Series, an Oswego tradition since 1935, marks the 78th year of this community program. All concerts are scheduled for Wednesday evenings in Breitbeck Park.
