The Spring Rummage Sale at the Minetto United Methodist Church will be on April 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on April 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Oscar winning movie all about Mr. Lincoln will be shown at First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St., on Sunday at 2 p.m. Also, the community is invited to meet Fulton civic leaders on April 13 starting at 5 p.m at the First United Church of Fulton.
Rep. Excellus BlueCross BlueShield has donated $1,000 to support Oswego County Opportunities’ annual bowling tournament fundraiser, the “Lucky 13” Bowl-A-Fun. Proceeds for this year’s event are being directed toward services that help the homeless or nearly homeless in Oswego County.

The Oswego Fire Department announces the retirement of Lieutenant Christopher Chetney after more than 20 years of service. He was appointed to the department on June 18, 1992, and retired on March 31, 2013. Lt. Chetney spent the majority of his career assigned to “A” shift being promoted from Firefighter to Lieutenant on December 15, 2004.
The largest line-up annually at Harborfest on the NRG Oswego Harbor Power “Lakeview Stage” in Breitbeck Park, is reserved for Saturday afternoon and evening.
