Rep. Dan Maffei is encouraging local high school students to participate in this year’s Congressional Art Competition. The winning artist from New York’s 24th Congressional District will have his or her artwork displayed at the U.S. Capitol for one year and will be recognized both in the district and at an awards ceremony in Washington, DC.

Board Certified Family Practice Physician Martin Waldron, MD, has been named medical director for Oswego Health’s Central Square Urgent Care Center, located at 3045 Main St., in the village. A resident of Bernards Bay, Dr. Waldron said he was looking forward to practicing close to his home.
Come to the Lake Ontario Conference and Event Center on East First Street in Oswego to hear compelling stories about the war along the New York-Canadian border from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 and from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, April 7.
They will be serving ziti and meatballs, tossed salad, and bread. Desserts and beverages will be provided by members of the advisory board. The dinner will be at the Salvation Army Citadel, 73 W. Second St., Oswego.
