SUNY Oswego art faculty member Julieve Jubin’s 2011 photography work in Havana helped inspire “Imagining Cuba,” featuring 32 works of 11 photographers who capture images of the politically isolated Caribbean nation in a free exhibition that will start March 26 at Tyler Art Gallery.

The Oswego High School Visual Ensemble will host the annual Snowflake Spectacular this Saturday evening at Powers Gym at the Frederick Leighton Elementary School.

On March 13, the students within the Fulton City School District in grades UPK – 12 will have an early dismissal. Grades 7 – 12 will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. and morning Pre K – 6 will dismiss at 11:15 a.m. There will be no afternoon Pre-K classes.

For the 20th consecutive year, SUNY Oswego will present student playwrights reading their winning 10-minute plays in the New Voices competition.

Jillian O’Brien of Oswego has been named to the Dean’s List for the 2012-13 fall semester at Geneva College. Dean’s List status is awarded to students who earn a 3.6 grade point average or better.

The cast of Sandy Creek High School’s spring musical production of “Wonderland” are busy preparing for its March 15 and 16 show dates. Show times are 7:30 p.m. each day.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, a division of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, will hold a volunteer orientation for retired or semi-retired adults at 10 a.m. March 19, in the Oswego Public Library’s community room.
