Several organizations across Oswego County recognized the works of AmeriCorps members during AmeriCorps Week, March 9 through 15. The annual event provides an opportunity to salute AmeriCorps members for their impact on the lives of children they serve and to thank community partners who make AmeriCorps possible.

Oswego County Legislature Chairman Fred C. Beardsley presented his state of the county address at the March meeting of the legislature.
Adult Comedy Night Set At Foundry
Trinity Catholic School presents Tom Anzalone for an Adult Comedy Night at The American Foundry on April 26. This is the first of what may become an annual event. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., Hors D’oeuvres will be served at 7 p.m., and the Comedy Show starts at 8 p.m. A cash bar will be available before and after the show.
Centro announces delays due to Syracuse Half Marathon
On Sunday, March 24, South State Street will be closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles between East Adams Street and Harrison Street from 5:30 a.m. to approximately noon due to the Syracuse Half Marathon.
Lakeside Artisans plan framing, matting demonstration
The final in a series of demonstrations for Lakeside Artisans’ Anniversary Celebration will take place at its 191 W. First St. location on March 30 at 1 p.m. with special guest Mary Lou Bjorkman, owner of the framing shop, Picture Connection.

Third OCAY League Competition partners sports and opera
The event, the brainchild of Pulaski coach Melissa Osborne and Altmar-Parish-Williamstown coach Eric Lanious, combined two cultural classics – opera and sports, all while tapping into the students’ musical creativity, understanding of the sports world and some pretty historical events and happenings in the sporting realm.
Fulton Sunrise Rotary Donates To Area Food Pantries
Rotarians donated to the United Way, for the recent fifth annual Stone Soup Too luncheon held at Holy Trinity Church. Funds received help fill the shelves of our area food pantries.
