Building on the growth of both the needs of medical offices and online programming, SUNY Oswego in September will start a program to teach medical professionals the Spanish language and cultures as related to medical settings.
The public will have the opportunity to see black and white photos of the 1957 classic winner Jack Murphy, the 1958 winner Billy Blum, winners Nolan Swift, Lee Bliss, Art Bennett and the more recent winners Mike Ordway, Doug Didero, Bentley Warren and Otto Sitterly to name just a few.
Cadets train aboard the ships and shore activities of the Navy and Coast Guard, and are authorized to by the Secretary of the Navy to wear Navy uniforms appropriately marked with Sea Cadet Corps-insignia.
The H. Lee White Marine Museum hosts the Oswego Canal Festival to honor the New York State Barge Canal System. Festivities run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 1 through 3.

Scheduled for September 8, rain or shine, the CAC’s “Blue Ribbon Ride” Against Child Abuse is a 70-mile motorcycle ride that will wind throughout Oswego County. All proceeds from the event will benefit the CAC’s Blue Ribbon Campaign.
He will discuss his journey in finding and verifying his Oswego County Civil War ancestors, highlight some of the problems and pitfalls typically encountered during such research, distribute copies of helpful resources, and provide advice to participants interested in conducting their own research.
The Relatives Raising Relatives program serves caregivers, who through a variety of circumstances, have taken on the responsibility of raising their relative’s children.
