Oswego County Opportunities’ Cancer Services Program Partnership is inviting pharmacies throughout Oswego County to join them in their effort to raise awareness of the free cancer screenings that are available through the program.

The United Way’s Stuff-A-Bus Campaign helps to provide area youth in need with the supplies they need to begin the school year.

ARC of Oswego County announced today that it has received a $500 Oswego County Autism Task Force Grant. The grant will be used to support a Summer Recreational Respite program for youth program participants.

The Clubhouse Tavern hosted the United Way’s Annual Harborfest Breakfast that raised more than $3,500. Tonya Crisafulli, a bartender at tavern, donated the tips from her weekend shift, which accounted for an additional $280 for the Stuff-A-Bus Campaign.

Thanks to a new method of handling reports of child maltreatment and neglect, families are taking a more active role in solving problems in the home environment, and caseworkers at the Oswego County Department of Social Services have more options to help strengthen families.
