The Oswego Fire Department will be conducting hydrant testing primarily in the Sixth and Seventh wards from now and throughout the summer and early fall. This may cause temporary reduced water pressure to residents in those areas and there is a possibility of water discoloration.
The financial wellness program entitled “Money Smart” is being offered for the first time at the Fulton Library at 160 South First Street in Fulton.
The fifth graders and good friends, Sophia Greene and Presley Slimmer, drew pictures of all sorts of things and then sold them to residents of their westside neighborhood. “We talked about where we wanted to donate the money we raised and we thought of the hospital,” Slimmer said.
Music staff member Steve Defren said, “This year we are welcoming Los Angeles based trombonist Andy Martin. He has played in numerous big bands including Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, had recorded several solo albums and has many, many movie and television credits to his name.”
Assemblyman Will Barclay announced that he has learned there is funding available for not-for-profit organizations and municipalities to help provide transportation for the disabled and elderly. The deadline to apply is June 1.
The 24th Oswego County Reading Council Writing Contest winners were announced recently at a special awards ceremony held at Oswego County BOCES. This year’s theme was “Reach For the Stars.” Three Kingsford Park Elementary School. were cited.

The Fulton Police Department’s Annual Bike Rodeo is going to be held June 2 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. the Fulton Community Center. The event is focused on youth bicycle education and safety.
