Several maple producers will host tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 17 and 18, and the following weekend, March 24 and 25, for the New York State Maple Producers Weekends.

Michael Sgro has been appointed the new director of alumni and parent relations at SUNY Oswego. He will oversee the direction of all alumni programs and initiatives at Oswego, including reunions, regional events and student-alumni programs.

Come to the American Foundry on state Route 104 West in Oswego for an intriguing series of lectures about the War of 1812 on the New York-Canadian Frontier. The day-long symposium runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 31

Second graders at Parish Elementary School made connections with second graders from across the U.S. and Canada during special videoconferences made possible through Oswego County BOCES’ Distance Learning Department as part of the Read Around the Planet.

It will take place at 10 a.m. at Springside at Seneca Hill. The orientation will be conducted by RSVP director, Ellen Wahl. Springside will also be offering its Soup Lovers Lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The bill would overturn a December ruling by a U.S. Federal Appeals Court that struck down the Commerce Department’s authority to apply these tariffs.  The Strengthening America’s Trade Laws Act is critical to leveling the playing field for American small businesses and their employees.

Oswego School District bus driver Christine Marsh was recognized by the Oswego City School District Board of Education and the Superintendent of School for her immediate response to a child in need.
