If you missed the recent Oswego Players’ production of “Unnecessary Farce,” there is another chance to catch it in dinner theatre format at the Church of the Resurrection on Oct. 28 and 29.
Waking early and walking in silence around Walden Pond in Concord, Mass., on a beautiful summer morning, Cayuga Community College Professor and Poet Howard Nelson experienced firsthand the contrast of a noisy passing train within the serene wooded trail; much like Henry David Thoreau did more than 150 years ago.
The presentation is part of a new, temporary exhibit called “Titanic: Commemorating the 100th Anniversary.” The exhibit includes pieces of DeMass’ personal collection and runs from Saturday, October 15 through Tuesday, November 15.
The Love Volcanoes will bring their musical talent to the stage at the Farnham Unplugged at 40: Rock The Arts Halloween Bash on October 29th at the American Foundry.
Last weekend, we went to visit relatives in the Endicott, Endwell, Johnson City and Binghamton area. We were saddened by the flood damage to all four downtown areas. Being built between many mountains and valleys the river had little places to expand when the waters came pouring down.
