The Youth Advocate Program recognized Rae Domicolo at “Community Youth Advocate of the Year” at the Volney Town Park at its 9th annual “Community Day celebration”

The Oswego County Promotion and Tourism Office recently held a reception to honor the winners of the Oswego County Fishing and Hunting Guide Photo Contest. As recipients and guests mingled over coffee and desserts, they had a chance to view a display of their winning photographs.
On the 3rd weekend in May of 2011, the Tug Hill/Black River Chapter of Trout Unlimited hosted an event for wounded soldiers from NY State Programs of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing. These soldiers experienced a wonderful two days of fly-fishing in a serene setting on the Douglaston Salmon Run in Pulaski, NY.
She said she is glad she decided to settle in Oswego because “it is such a beautiful city. We have historic buildings and museums, parks within walking distance of most residential neighborhoods, good schools, friendly people, a lovely lakefront and gorgeous sunsets. What more could you ask for?”
The H. Lee White Marine Museum and the Oswego Maritime Foundation invite the community to join them for a fun filled day on Aug. 6 from noon to 5 p.m. and help celebrate the New York State Barge Canal System.
