The team from Entergy Nuclear took top team score honors at Oswego Harborfest’s Bowlfest 2011 presented by Chestnut Street Security Sunday afternoon at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego. The sixth annual Harborfest fundraising event featured ten teams competing for several honors.
The theme for this year’s parade is “Proud To Be An American”. The committee will award trophies in several categories for the best representation of the theme.
The open house is being hosted by Oswego County, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which developed the new maps to provide residents with a realistic assessment of their risk from flooding.
Staff accompanied more than 50 participants as they discovered the many attractions and interactive displays that the MOST has to offer that allows visitors to have fun while they learn more about science.
Senator Ritchie heard about how the organization is not only providing vocational rehabilitation and supported employment to people with disabilities, but also helping create economic development for the county through its partnerships with several small businesses, for-profit businesses, and other nonprofits.

Much is needed to get this project going, but the immediate need is to raise public awareness to the economic and cultural benefit of an arts center, to create a non-profit organization to operate the center and work to secure a facility to offer programming in support of individual artists and arts organizations.
The American Red Cross of Central New York wrapped up its annual Heroes for the American Red Cross campaign on April 22, raising approximately $34,000 in support of its mission.
