Jill Johnson of NISH presents the East Region Products Award to Maria Malave-Ruiz, whose young daughter was able to watch her mother being honored.Maria Malave-Ruiz, Production Operations Manager at Oswego Industries, Inc., was awarded the East Region NISH Products Award at the recent NCWC (National Council of Work Centers) Conference in Norfolk, Virginia.

Fulton Sunrise Rotarians Hear About Trip to Haiti

Larry Fraser, right,  an Engineer with Black Clawson, talked about his trip to Haiti after the Earthquake this past Spring. Larry was among a large group of construction workers and nurses from the Abundant Life Church in Syracuse to go there to finish removing the debris from a church that was so devastated and to establish hope and build relationships. They plan to go back in the future to help build a new church on that same site.   Pictured with Fraser is Rotarian Doug Stevens.   Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton's Riverside Inn.Larry was among a large group of construction workers and nurses from the Abundant Life Church in Syracuse to go there to finish removing the debris from a church that was devastated.

Dunkin’ Donuts Donates to Parents of Special Children

Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee Roy Clark (right) presents Parents of Special Children, Inc. of Oswego County president Chrystal Hoyt (left) with a donation totaling $5,801 at the non-profit organization’s headquarters in Fulton, NY, earlier this month. The donation is the result of a three-month charitable initiate spearheaded by Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Oswego County in partnership with its customers. From April through June, Dunkin’ Donuts guests contributed their spare change to collection canisters positioned on store counters throughout Oswego County. The donation contributed to the non-profit organization’s mission to empower and improve the everyday lives of special needs families.The donation is the result of a three-month charitable initiate spearheaded by Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Oswego County in partnership with its customers.
