This past summer, Riley School launched “Ice Cream for Books”, an exciting new project to help bridge the gap of “summer reading loss.”
Camp Hollis is looking for volunteers to help close up the campgrounds for the season on Saturday, Oct. 30. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. staff and volunteers will work on a variety of projects, including cleaning and closing the cabins, storing playground and sports equipment, putting gardens “to bed” for the winter and storing indoor games and supplies.
The morning was crisp and there were several large dark clouds in the sky. That did not diminish the excitement and anticipation felt by Carol Wilcox and her sister Mary about this long awaited day. On Saturday, October 2nd, the Lowe’s team was coming to Fulton to build a ramp for the Wilcox Family as their Heroes Project.
The new site, located just north of Camden in Redfield, will enhance coverage for area residents and businesses in the southeastern corner of Oswego County as well as parts of neighboring Lewis and Oneida counties. This expansion will also benefit customers in areas of Florence and Osceola and bring new wireless coverage to the Salmon River Reservoir.
