Sunrise Rotarians Hear About Trip to India

At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Doug Stevens, left,  introduced Evan Kurtz and his wife Tracy , both members of the Dryden Rotary Club.  Evan presented a slide show of his two week visit to India as part of the Rotary National Immunization Day team for the fight against Polio.  This program is funded by the World health Organization, UNICEF, Center for Disease Control, the Bill Gates Foundation and Rotary International allowing people from all over the world, ages 15 -to 70, to participate in the dispensing of the vaccine.   The Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton's Riverside Inn.At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Doug Stevens, left, introduced Evan Kurtz and his wife Tracy, both members of the Dryden Rotary Club.

Hannibal Village Time Capsule Reburied

Duane Shepard, member of the Hannibal Village Board, and Fred Kent, Mayor of the Village of Hannibal are shown tightening the bolts on the top of the time capsule in preparation for burial. As part of the Village of Hannibal’s Sesquicentennial Celebration, a time capsule that had been buried for 50 years in the Hannibal Village Square, was dug up on July 10.

County Legislature Salutes Visser for 25 Years of Service

The Oswego County Legislature’s Infrastructure and Facilities Committee congratulates Frank Visser, Oswego County Director of Solid Waste Programs, for 25 years of outstanding service to Oswego County government. Visser also recently received the first ever solid waste achievement award from the New York State Association of Solid Waste Management. His accomplishments include expanding recycling programs and re-opening the Oswego County Materials Recovery Facility, installing a metals recovery system at the Energy Recovery Facility, and installing a gas collection/flare system at the Bristol Hill Landfill. Public Outcry Delays Outdoor Wood Boiler Regs
