Oswego Boy Determined To Help Animal Shelter

Zac Caruso decided that he had to do something to help animals and raise awareness of the problem of cruelty to animals. He has begun a can/bottle drive for the benefit of the animals at the Oswego shelter.

SUNY Oswego Students Win Awards at National Technology Conference

SUNY Oswego's team at the recent Technology Education Collegiate  Association national conference included, front, from left, Jeffrey  Abrey, Kenneth Bouwens, Kelsey Roman and Andrew Dunlop; and back, from  left, Laurie Edwards, Kristopher Taffner, Paul Rotstein, Mike Petrone  and Chris Pohlman. SUNY Oswego’s team of nine students competed in four events and won two first-place awards and one second-place award at the Technology Education Collegiate Association national conference in March in Charlotte, N.C.

“Future” Architect at Discovery Day Care

Tyler Redhead from the school age room at Discovery Day Care is  using his imagination to build a house out of legos.   School age  children are given opportunities to play, socialize with peers and  explore their environment.<p>  Discovery Day Care of Phoenix has  limited openings for children 8 months to 12 years old. Event to Feature Rescued Primates at SUNY Oswego April 12

Carmen Presti and Diana, a Japanese macaque, are scheduled to  visit the SUNY Oswego Campus Center arena at 7 p.m. Monday, April 12.  Presti runs the Primate Sanctuary in Niagara Falls, a nonprofit  organization that provides care and shelter for formerly abused or  unwanted primates. Otherwise healthy, Diana suffers from a permanent  injury caused by her previous owner, who kept her in a jumpsuit with no  hole for her tail. Sponsored by the college's Biology Club, the event is  free and open to the public. SUNY Oswego’s Biology Club will host a talk and live primate demonstration by Carmen Presti of the Primate Sanctuary at 7 p.m. Monday, April 12, in the Campus Center arena.
