Looking for something fun and active to do with the entire family this fall and winter? Consider hiking and geocaching at one of the Oswego County’s nature parks. Hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing are great ways to stay active and enjoy outdoor adventure in the fall and winter months.

The Friends of History in Fulton, N.Y., Inc., will host a Christmas Parade of Trees at the John Wells Pratt House, 177 S. First St., from December 2 through 13.

Shoes will be collected until Dec. 15 in an effort to bring shoes to those in need in Oswego County.

Organized by church members Evelyn Baldwin and Darlene Parsons, the show is held in memory of past member Kay Godden, who passed away several years ago from breast cancer.

Oswego County Workforce NY, located at 200 N. Second St., Fulton, offers a free Work Incentive Seminar Event (WISE) on Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to noon.

Congressman Brindisi announced that Oswego County BOCES (CiTi) will receive a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant totaling $420,449. According to USDA, an estimated 12,594 residents and students will benefit.

A bill sponsored by Senator Patty Ritchie and Assemblyman Will Barclay to provide the Oswego County town and village of Parish access to municipal water was signed into law by Governor Cuomo Wednesday.
