The Oswego City School District will offer a free meal for any child ages 18 years and younger at various open sites throughout the district this summer.

The congregation of Minetto United Methodist Church will welcome a new pastor to its worship service on July 7, the Rev. Guerschom Saint Ange.

The Oswego County Department of Social Services is looking for people who would like to become foster parents, particularly for children ages eight and over who may have special needs for supervision.

Compass Federal Credit Union’s 8th annual Charity Golf Outing, held at Battle Island Golf Course on June 21 raised $5,100 for Oswego’s Little League and Youth Soccer programs.

With about 532 years of service to the Oswego City School District, 23 staff members were celebrated for their retirement throughout the 2018-2019 school year.

The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau, in collaboration with St. Francis Commons assisted living and the Fastworks Families Program, will host a kids’ bubble and chalk event July 13 at St. Francis Commons, 12 Burkle St.

A special gathering is planned at an open house just to celebrate this special occasion on July 13 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the J.W. Pratt House Museum, 177 S. First St.

Kids of all ages are invited to come for a “get right in the water and get wet” adventure, exploring and puddle-ducking at the beaver pond with naturalist Pat Carney.
