Nurses from St. Luke Health Services, Bishop’s Commons and St. Francis Commons will host their popular bone density screening at the First United Methodist Church, 4372 Church St. in the Mexico, on June 24 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

The Oswego County Health Department’s Environmental Division will hold the 29th annual Tap Water Taste Contest June 27, from 4:15 to 8 p.m. at the Oswego Farmers’ Market on West First Street in Oswego.

Today’s national average price for a gallon of gasoline is $2.69, down six cents from last week. One year ago, the price was $2.89. The New York State average is $2.87 – down three cents from last week.

Connor Sheffield of Oswego was part of the Ithaca College Ad Lab team that won the American Advertising Federation’s National Student Advertising Competition on June 7, in Hollywood, Florida.

The event, held June 3 in the Mexico High School gym, honored the top 25 students from the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades in front of a packed house with family, friends and mentors looking on.

Nearly three dozen students earned awards and recognition throughout the evening, as friends, family, faculty and community members were on hand to offer their support.
