U.S. Air Force Airman Madison R. Crego graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

At the tail-end of their academic unit on Newton’s Laws of Motion, Kingsford Park Elementary School sixth graders enjoyed an interactive visit from the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology’s “Science on the Go” program.

Lessons from both their classroom and the library media center prepared them for their solo research project, which included studying their subject, preparing a biography poster and crafting a character, among other tasks.

“Last year, we tried to make it more family-oriented, and this year we’re taking it a step further,” explained Volunteer Event Organizer Dan Witmer, who helped introduce the St. Baldrick’s Foundation – dedicated to raising funds to support life-saving childhood cancer research – to the Oswego area in 2007.

The Corps will hold its fourth annual Red Kettle Classic Golf Tournament on August 17 at Battle Island State Park Golf Course, 2150 State Route 48, Fulton.

The Oswego State Blueline Club is pleased to announce the second annual Rockin’ the River concert, set to take place on April 6.

“Learn and Lunch” features a half hour educational program followed by a free lunch that includes soup, salad and dessert served in the Grand Dining Room.
