The Oswego Players will present a second weekend of the final production of its 80th anniversary season, Jean Shepard’s classic holiday tale “A Christmas Story”

Eastern Shore Associates Insurance, a Trusted Choice agency, has awarded its annual Commercial Lines Partnership Award to Jamison Gordon, field director-sales and marketing, for The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, Cicero.

Trinity Catholic School is sponsoring Bowling With Santa on Dec. 9 from noon – 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Lanes. You can reserve a lane for $79.95 and receive two hours of cosmic bowling, shoe rental, pizza, soda/juice. This fun-filled event will benefit Trinity Catholic School.

Larry Miller loves what he does. As owner and manager of GJP Italian Eatery, along with partners Nicky Loomis and Ryan Gunther, Miller finds great joy in running Oswego’s only locally-owned and independently-operated New York style pizzeria. And, since opening in 2015, it’s become a major favorite among Oswego residents. GJP recently made the decision to plant its long-term roots in the Oswego Plaza.

The public is invited to pick up a free 2019 Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor calendar starting December 1 at selected libraries and visitor centers throughout the National Heritage Corridor. The calendar features winning images from this year’s Erie Canalway photo contest.

On December 8, Santa will be coming to the Oswego Public Library.
Holiday snacks and crafts to make will be available during Santa’s visit.

Choral singers from SUNY Oswego and area high schools will offer Mendelssohn’s “Magnificat” and other holiday music in a free Oswego Festival Chorus Holiday Concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church

The late Rev. Charles Forbes, former pastor of the Minetto United Methodist Church, loved decorating his home for Christmas.

The Friends of the Oswego Library hosted a Wreath and Evergreen Arrangement “Learn To” class on November 25 at the Oswego Public Library. Thirty library patrons learned how to make and decorate a wreath or an evergreen centerpiece.
