Student-athletes again plan to rake leaves for senior citizens within the city of Oswego on Nov. 4. Laker Student-Athletes To Rake Leaves For Senior Citizens Nov. 4

Hundreds of SUNY Oswego student-athletes are ready to rake leaves in the city of Oswego on Sunday, Nov. 4 — and they want to hear from senior citizens interested in this free assistance. In its 14th year at SUNY Oswego, the project is part of an annual statewide community service project by Student-Athlete Advisory Council chapters at some SUNY Athletic Conference colleges.

Two big, overlapping events are approaching for SUNY Oswego. Return to Oz V -- a reunion for alumni of color -- will run Oct. 12 to 14, and the college's annual Homecoming, featuring a tailgate event, will take place Saturday, Oct. 13.

Return to Oz, Homecoming Weekend Set At College

SUNY Oswego hosts two big events in mid-October: Return to Oz V — a reunion for alumni of color — Oct. 12 to 14, with the college’s annual Homecoming unfolding Oct. 13. The reunion, which takes place every five years, will include a Friday evening get-together, plus a Saturday networking fair, EOP Alumni Reception and the Return to Oz Celebration Dinner, among other events.

SUNY Oswego Faculty, Students Team With County Agency To Protect Fen

SUNY Oswego faculty and student scientists working to monitor and protect an environmentally sensitive Oswego County habitat of endangered species also plan to work with the Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District to hold neighborhood education sessions about how people can alleviate some of the threats.
