Pulaski Historical Society Brown Bag Lunch Set
The Pulaski Historical Society will hold the August Brown Bag Lunch on August 8 from11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Carriage House at the Museum. Bring your lunch (it doesn’t have to be in a Brown Bag) and learn a little more of our local history. Terry Rossman will tell you about Pulaski’s Militia in the War of 1812 and the Battle of Sackets Harbor.

Fulton Jazz Fest Runs Aug. 9-11 at New Riverside Location,
The Fulton Jazz Festival returns to its roots for the tenth anniversary. “On our tenth anniversary, we’re returning to where it all began: riverside in Fulton’s beautiful Lock 3 Canal Park and marina,” said Joe Cortini, jazz festival president. “It’s the perfect setting, right on the river by the Oneida Street bridge and Tavern on the Lock Restaurant.”

Pet of the Week – Primrose
Primrose is a sweet, playful young kitten, the last of our District 12 tributes still waiting for a forever home. She is a snuggly typical kitten, and as you can see, a very good napper. When she wakes up, she’s adventurous and absolutely loves to play – especially with catnip toys and balls with bells or something similar in them.

Mini-Grants To Support 5 Projects In SUNY Oswego’s First Grand Challenge
A SUNY Oswego panel has recommended college mini-grant funding for five project proposals — ranging from a multicultural effort to provide water purifiers to Puerto Rico to helping support a talk by an eco-poet known for her poetry about the disasters such as those at Flint, Michigan, and the Deepwater Horizon — developed for Grand Challenges: Fresh Water for All.
