Any residents of Oswego that would like to make their food dollars go farther may order April Food Sense packages until noon on April 13. All Oswego area residents may use the program.

The Mexico Academy and Central School District is one step ahead of future changes to the New York State Testing Program. Next month, the district will begin the transition to computer-based testing when students in grades three through six take their New York State English language arts exams.

Within the STRIVE High School at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation, acts of kindness have been offered one paw at a time.

The Bacchus Saxophone Quartet will perform at 3 p.m. March 25, in Sheldon Hall ballroom, melding the talents of SUNY Oswego music faculty member Trevor Jorgensen and three other saxophonists from Central New York.

Key Bank has signed on as a Silver Level Sponsor for Oswego County Opportunities’ “Hooray For Hollywood!” Bowl-A-Fun. “We greatly appreciate Key Bank’s support and its concern for the homeless in our community,” said OCO Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety Committee presented Joe Harpst with a certificate of appreciation for 10 years of service to the county.
