The Acting Company to bring Hamlet times 2 to SUNY Oswego stage

SUNY Oswego's Artswego Performing Arts Series will present the renowned ensemble The Acting Company serving up consecutive shows based on Hamlet's tale at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and 27 in Tyler Hall's Waterman Theatre. In Shakespeare's "Hamlet," playing Feb. 26, actors Robert David Grant (left) and John Skelley battle as other members of the company look on. The troupe's production of "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" follows on Feb. 27. (Photo by Michael Lamont)The Acting Company, the renowned ensemble founded by actor and director John Houseman, will present two views of one of William Shakespeare’s most famous characters at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and 27, in Waterman Theatre at SUNY Oswego. In a rare pairing, the 12-member touring company will perform Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” and Sir Tom Stoppard’s “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead” on the same stage on consecutive evenings.

Christopher Columbus PlazaSometimes we are very lucky when we book a hotel and that was the case with our hotel in Santo Domingo. The Hotel Atarazana is a boutique hotel that was once a private home but the best part was its location in the colonial center of Santa Domingo so it was a short walk to all the places we wanted to visit. I think it is amazing to walk the same streets walked by Christopher Columbus.

About 17 miles from Cap-Haitien and five miles uphill – really uphill on a twisty-turny road – is the largest fortress in the Americas.
