Oswego Jazz Project to play Lake Effect Cafe on Oct. 15
The concert will showcase music from the group’s two albums, “Oswego Jazz Project” (2007) and “And the Time Is Now” (2008). OJP consists of SUNY Oswego music faculty members Dr. Robert Auler on keyboards, Dr. Eric Schmitz on drums and Trevor Jorgensen on saxophone, with Oswego alumnus Max McKee on bass.

Beat Generation Poet to Speak at SUNY Oswego
Born in Kansas, Charles Plymell moved to San Francisco where he lived with Beat Generation luminaries Allen Ginsberg and Neal Cassady. During his time in that fertile creative scene, Plymell printed the first copies of Zap Comix featuring Robert Crumb and published many influential underground books.
