Local Officials Aid March for Meals Campaign

Area mayors and elected officials donned their March for Meals hats and showed their support for OCO’s Meals on Wheels program during OCO’s Community Champions Week. Community leaders and members of OCO’s administration department also participated as community champions helped deliver meals to home bound seniors in Oswego County.

Rural Health Network and Barclay To Host Blood Drive in Oswego

Assemblyman Will Barclay and members of the Rural Health Network of Oswego County are teaming up to host a blood drive on May 1. “Giving blood truly saves lives. In fact, one donation can save up to three lives. Anyone who experiences a health problem like cancer or a heart transplant needs blood transfusions. Hospitals are in critical need of blood for emergency rooms throughout our region,” said Barclay.

Move Along Visits Kingsford Park

Move Along, Inc. representatives were on hand at Kingsford Park Elementary School in Oswego recently to demonstrate to students several programs that build awareness for adaptive sports. The all-day event, which was held during the physical education classes, also included a 3-on-3 wheelchair basketball tournament and “penny war” fundraiser.
