Lockdown Takes Place at G. Ray Bodley High School

At about 12:10 p.m. today (April 29), G. Ray Bodley High School was notified by police of a “suspicious individual” in the vicinity of the school. Superintendent Bill Lynch said a lockdown of the school then ensued. “The individual was found not to be a threat and the school then went back to business,” said Lynch. The person in question never entered the school.

Fulton YMCA Hosts Healthy Kids Day

The event offered family fun activities, snacks, entertainment and information regarding health and wellness for families. Family director at the YMCA, Amy Leotta, explained that Healthy Kids Day is a national event for all YMCA’s across the country during the weekend of April 24-26. The overall intention of the event is to “promote better health and wellness for families,” Leotta explained.

OCO Tree Planting Recognizes Oswego County Crime Victims

Staff from Oswego County Opportunities Services to Aid Families program welcomed state and local officials and community members for a tree planting ceremony at William J. Farley Jr. Community Park in Phoenix. Held in recognition of National Crime Victims Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the tree planting honored victims of crime in Oswego County.
