Every October the statewide Domestic Violence Awareness campaign highlights the continued crisis of domestic violence by lighting buildings purple and Fulton leaders proclaimed on Tuesday to shine the light locally.

A search warrant was executed on the residence of Earl J. Ouderkirk, 42, and Jennifer L. Pollock, 40, in the town of Granby following an investigation conducted by the Oswego County Drug Task Force, the Fulton City Police Department, and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department. The couple was arrested on Monday (October 6) after a search warrant conducted on their residence on September 30 resulted in the recovery of 14 marihuana plants and other processed marihuana, police said.

Lieutenant William Clark recently retired after 20 years of service with the city of Fulton Police Department. Clark began his career at the Syracuse Police Academy in April of 1994. During his career, Lt. Clark was decorated several times including in 2001 when Clark received an honorable Service Award for his role in investigating the Diana Cooper homicide.

The hotly debated topic of Fulton’s ice cream businesses and food truck vendors will be removed from a general full-council workshop discussion and referred to the committee level.
