CNY Arts Center held its third annual Snow Day Jan. 18 at the Community Room in City Hall and across the street at Veterans’ Park. In addition to snow fun, the event included a children’s carnival, art projects, entertainment and food along with some of previous year’s popular games.

Oneida State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Gary R. Moth, of North Syracuse, for selling a vehicle which he had no right to sell. He perpetrated himself as a car salesman and completed a false sales contract relative to the sale of a vehicle in the town of Cicero, according to the report. And, he was further wanted on a bench warrant issued by the Village of Central Square Court for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree.

Snowy Day Word Play is the latest free class for young writers being offered by the Fulton Public Library. For youth ages 8-13, the week-long program will feature fun and engaging activities for those who love to write and want to improve their skills. The program will take place at the library Feb. 17 through Feb. 21 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The city’s budget vote Dec. 26 included a decision to cut taxpayer funding to the library by half. That meant a $50,000 reduction to the bottom line. In 2013 the city subsidized $100,00 of the library’s $281,255 budget.

Investigation revealed a 2006 Subaru, driven by Adam O. Dix, age 28, from Phoenix, was traveling southbound on County Route 57A in the town of Schroeppel when he allegedly failed to keep right and crossed the double solid line into the northbound lane striking a town of Schroeppel Highway Department truck.
