The bid auctions are part of an expanded strategy to get more seized homes back into private hands.  Woodward said that the city will require the new owners to make certain repairs to each home, on a case by case basis.

Police have written more tickets and the nightly shutdown of the Broadway bridge creates an hour-long traffic jam on the Oneida St. bridge, but as Fulton’s Police Chief says, the shutdown “hasn’t been the horror show we thought it might be.”

Cayuga Community College hosted a dedication and ribbon cutting Friday to celebrate the completion of construction at its new Fulton Campus at River Glen. On August 31, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted the New York State Police Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force regarding a possible on-line enticement case that occurred in the Oswego County area. A joint investigation by the NYSP Computer Crime Unit and members of the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Pulaski identified a 15-year-old victim.

Fulton’s All Saints’ Episcopal Church celebrates its 175th anniversary this weekend with a community festival, which begins Friday evening and runs through Sunday afternoon.
