The New York State Police in Hastings are currently investigating a 1 person fatal motorcycle accident which occurred on June 23rd, 2012, at approximately 1:55am at the intersection of County Route 11 and Gulf Bridge Road, Town of West Monroe, Oswego County.
Friends of Great Bear will host a community environmental project to increase public awareness of the threat of the emerald ash borer at Great Bear Recreation Area from 10 a.m. to noon June 23. Joe Chairvolotti, forester for the Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District, will lead a hike and help people identify and tag ash trees.
It’s still warm, but the humidity is moving out of here.
The Fulton high school girls’ lacrosse team had an outstanding season, finishing with a 15 and 4 record; winning the OHSL Freedom League Championship and had an outstanding effort in the State Class B Championship. On Tuesday night, they were honored by the Fulton council.
More heat. More humidity. A record? We’ll see.

Double-digit unemployment levels have returned to Oswego County.
Data from the New York State Department of Labor shows that 10.2% of county residents who were in the workforce were without a job and looking for one in May. April’s jobless rate was 9.8%.
