Fulton Bridge Repair Will Take Two Years, Slow Drivers and Stop Some Walkers

The state plans to rehabilitate the Broadway bridge in Fulton, a two year process that will be hard on drivers but could be harder on pedestrians.

The bridge is safe, according to state Department of Transportation spokesman Gene Cilento, but it needs a lot of work. The project intends to replace not only the bridge surface and sidewalks, but also replace some girders and piers as well as modify the approaches to the bridge at either end.

Doheny Extended Lead Over Hoffman as Absentee Ballots are Counted

Matt Doheny widened his lead over Hoffman in the race for the Republican party line in November’s election against incumbent Democratic Congressman Bill Owens.

Oswego County Republican Elections Commissioner Don Wart told Oswego County Today that Doheny won the absentee count, 185-179.Â The vote margin was similar to the vote on primary night.

Pappalardo Retires from Fulton PD

Pappalardo followed his father, Sergeant Ross Pappalardo into law enforcement in Fulton, when he began his career at the police academy in Watertown in August, 1989.

His career ended last week with his retirement after 21 years with the Fulton Police Department.
