Horse-Drawn Wagon Owner Wants a Permit to Work Throughout Fulton

Les Holmes holds the reins of his horse-drawn wagon as it took  part in the Memorial Day Salute parade. Holmes is asking that the  restrictions be removed from his city permit so he can offer rides  anywhere in the city.Les Holmes said he has used his wagon to give rides around the city to senior citizens and to those attending fundraisers at the Polish Home. He thinks it would be a good addition to the Farmer’s Market downtown, to the music events taking place at the downtown gazebo in the summer, and to loop around the War Memorial/Recreation Park complex for events such as Memorial Day Salute.

Fulton Man Killed in Iraq is Honored at Memorial Day Services

Fulton’s annual Memorial Day ceremony honored the memory of a native son who gave his life in combat. SSgt. Keith Coe, 30, died April 27 from the injuries he suffered from a bomb that exploded as he got out of a military vehicle in Khalis, Iraq. Coe spent his childhood in Fulton.
