“You meet people 70, 80, 90 years old and they don’t even know it was a park,” said First Ward Alderman Tom Kenyon, who says he refused to let the city sell the tiny sliver of land for a dollar and began looking for a way to save it.
A case of animal cruelty in Eastern New York is complete, with the sentencing of a prominent horse owner and breeder. The case began with a Granby woman, who sounded the alarm over the condition of dozens of the owner’s horses, who had been sold to be slaughtered for horsemeat.
