SUNY Oswego senior Henrry Leon was recently one of 42 students in SUNY’s Educational Opportunity Program to receive the inaugural statewide Norman R. McConney Jr. Award for Student Excellence, recognizing ability to overcome obstacles to achieve success.

The deadline is fast approaching for the public to apply for a seat on the sanctuary advisory council for the proposed Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary in eastern Lake Ontario.

State Police in Pulaski is investigating a vehicle-Amish buggy crash that occurred on State Route 3 in the town of Mexico. Two people were injured; their two horses were severely injured and were euthanized.
