The proposed agreement partners with the Oswego County Veterans’ Agency and Director Jamie Hamlin to provide dogs to military veterans with a documented need for service animals.

The Oswego Fire Department is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association, the official sponsor of Fire Prevention Week, for more than 90 years, to promote this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape!”

The funding will be primarily used to place additional police officers in city neighborhoods for Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and during the busiest weeks of the year for the remainder of 2019 and 2020.
