Today Omar Bellamy of Syracuse, was sentenced in Oswego County Court to five years in state prison and three years post-release supervision upon his conviction for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony. He was also sentenced to two years in state prison and three years post-release supervision upon his conviction for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a Class D Felony.

State Police along with EMS personnel responded to 99 Kellogg Road in the Town of Hannibal. Resuscitative efforts failed and the male was transported by Menters Ambulance to Oswego Hospital where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

At its meeting Monday night, the Administrative Services Committee, councilors approved Fire Chief Jeff McCrobie’s request to accept a trio of donations. One of them was 200 smoke detectors from Lowe’s. Firefighters carry smoke alarms with them on calls, the chief pointed out.
