“Since last summer, I have been working with Oswego County officials to find ways to prevent any further loss of life, including hosting a Roundtable of public health experts to identify the best methods for defeating EEE,” Senator Ritchie said.
State Senator Patty Ritchie is describing a bill she cosponsored with Senator John DeFrancisco to expand Central New York’s Foreign Trade as a way to help Oswego County businesses compete for new jobs and businesses in the global market.
At its meeting Tuesday night, the Oswego School Board unanimously voted to present a referendum on the May 15 ballot for a large capital project. Voters will be asked to allow the district to spend up to $15 million on the project. The proposed cost of the work at five of the seven schools comes to $14,952,501, according to Superintendent Bill Crist.
The Common Council voted 6-1-1 Monday night to approve reinstatement of the city Zoning Enforcement Officer. Some residents spoke out in favor of the position prior to the meeting.
