Oswego School Board Puts Capital Project In Voters’ Hands

At its meeting Tuesday night, the Oswego School Board unanimously voted to present a referendum on the May 15 ballot for a large capital project. Voters will be asked to allow the district to spend up to $15 million on the project. The proposed cost of the work at five of the seven schools comes to $14,952,501, according to Superintendent Bill Crist.

County Residents Reminded to Use ProAct Pharmacy Discount Cards

Oswego County residents are continuing to use the ProAct prescription drug card in record numbers. Residents filled 2,974 prescriptions in January, with an average cost per member of $32.84, according to a report presented to the County Legislature’s Health and Human Services Committee.

Mom Shaves Head To Support Her Son

The mother of an Oswego elementary student has her head shave to demonstrate her support for him as he undergoes chemo treatments for his cancer. He could relapse really quickly, because his type of cancer has no cure. “So we are all research based – St. Baldrick’s actually funds the hospitals we go to,” his mother said.
