Mirabito’s Robbery Suspect In Custody

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has Daniel A White, of 175 N. Main St., Dolgeville, in custody today (June 10) after investigations conducted by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police and Dolgeville Village Police Department led to his arrest for the robbery committed at Mirabito’s Convenience store.

Ladies Rule the Range Empowers Women through Shooting Sports

Women of all ages will soon come together at the Ladies Rule the Range annual event to test their aim. Pathfinder Fish and Game Club will host the event. Women are able to experience a variety of shooting sports that they may otherwise not have the opportunity to try. “Through the Ladies Rule the Range event we strive to empower women through education and constructive experience in the use of hand guns, long guns and archery equipment,” said founder of the event, LouAnn Daniels.

Tunes in June Starts Well at Downtown Gazebo in Fulton

The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce and Pathfinder Bank hold the free event from noon to 2 p.m. Located at the downtown gazebo on East First Street, ‘Tunes’ has a different musical appearance, food caterer and theme each week. For June 10, food will be provided by Upperlandings Bar and Grill and music featuring The Anthony Joseph Swingtet.

Council OKs Use of Park To Host Benefit For Julian Ross

At its meeting Monday night, the Common Council approved use of public space for the Ross family. Julian Ross was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma on August 4, 2011. He was put on Hospice care this spring. Julian will be coming home soon and his family requested use of the park pavilion to honor their son.

Fulton City GOP Announces Endorsements

At its meeting on Monday (June 8), the City of Fulton Republican Committee endorsed several candidates, and didn’t endorse a couple others. Also, Near the close of the meeting chairman Marc Holliday told the committee he was resigning as chairman so he could focus on selling his home and moving. James Karasek approved as his successor.
