Nearly three dozen students from around the county took control of the May meeting of the Oswego County Legislature. They came in as students and left as teachers. The students sat with their legislator counterparts and cast their votes during the meeting.

On Wednesday, Kelly M. Hartz, 47, of Williamstown, appeared in Oswego County Court, where she was sentenced to five years probation upon her conviction for Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree, a Class E Felony. As part of her sentence, she was ordered to pay $9,597.18 in restitution to Oswego County DSS over the next five years.
The Oswego Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team will host the first “Kick Cancer” Tournament this Saturday. Games will begin at 1 p.m. at the Richard Benjamin Fields (near Oswego Middle School). All proceeds from the event will benefit the “Coaches Vs. Cancer” Relay For Life Team.
