Salmon River International Sport Fishing Museum Holds 10th Anniversary Open House
The Salmon River International Sport Fishing Museum near Pulaski will celebrate its 10th year anniversary on October 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a special ceremony and a presentation at 1 p.m. about the past, current and future events of the museum.
Additional West Nile Virus Found in Oswego County
THIS JUST IN: The New York State Department of Health today notified the Oswego County Health Department that more evidence of the West Nile virus was found in mosquitoes collected Sept. 12 in West Monroe. Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang reminds residents to continue to be proactive in protecting themselves against mosquitoes to avoid infection of mosquito-borne viruses.
Marching Buccaneer Pair Picked For Army All-American Marching Band
Only 125 musicians and color guard members from across the country are selected for this annual honor. Since 2008, the Army has selected a dozen OHS band members. On October 3, two more Oswego High School standouts, Cassandra Hondro and Emily King, will be honored as part of the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.

Relatively Quiet Night for Oswego City School District Board of Education

The young lady went out and raised donations, which she later presented to Paws and Effect for use by Paws Across Oswego County.
Early dismissal on Sept. 30 for Fulton schools
On September 30, the students within the Fulton City School District in grades UPK – 12 will have an early dismissal. Grades 7 – 12 will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. and morning Pre K – 6 will dismiss at 11:15 a.m. There will be no afternoon Pre-K classes.
